This year for my Grade 12 art class, I have to create 6 pieces centered around one concentrated idea. Originally my plan was to do a series of works, each one representing fear or phobia of mine. However, after realizing I wanted to do more than one piece around one fear, I decided to focalize on that one. Thus my concentration this year focuses on my greatest fear, getting Alzheimers or Dementia. Both diseases run strong in my mother and father’s side of my family. My gong-gong on my mother’s side had dementia and my grandmother on my father’s side is currently battling with Alzheimers. Each of the pieces symboize what specifically I fear will happen to me if I develop one of the two. This page will be often updated throughout the year as I work on the 6 pieces.
